Since 1990, I have been photographing and exhibiting entrances, doors, façades and architectural features of buildings in the cities I visit around the world. A selection of a particular city's photos is then professionally mounted and framed in limited editions of ten. Each framed collage consists of ten to fifteen 5" x 7" images, titled and signed. Collages photographed in the following countries are available: Spain; Holland; Australia; Israel; Japan; England; Finland; Germany; Italy; New Zealand; Scotland; Singapore; USA. For me, doors have symbolic connotations ~ they can signify the closing of a particular chapter in one's life and the opening of another; they can also have life and death implications ~ the opening and closing of borders to those in need of protection.
