Gabrielle Plucknette is a professional photographer based in Manhattan, NY specializing in a documentary-style approach to wedding and portrait photography.

Her interest in photography began when she was very young. While in high school, Gabrielle enrolled in collegiate-level photography courses which further developed her passion into a career.

Gabrielle graduated from the nationally recognized School of Photographic Arts & Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Aside from her personal business, Gabrielle is also a full-time photojournalist at the Finger Lakes times in Geneva, NY where she photographs daily news and events in the Finger Lakes area.

Gabrielle's most recent recognition was winning first place in features for the 2011 Associated Press in photography award. In 2010, Gabrielle received best in Documentary for the Finger Lakes Film Festival on a multimedia presentation. In 2009 Gabrielle received a 1st place New York State Associated Press Association multimedia award and in 2008, a first place award in feature photography. She was also the recipient of a 2nd place New England Press Association award in 2007 for a spot news photograph.

Gabrielle is a member of many photo related groups, such as NPPA and GRPP and maintains knowledge of the technology, equipment and latest trends in the photography industry.

Gabrielle currently lives in Manhattan, New York and works at The New York Times Magazine.
